Our Mission
Model UN is an extracurricular heard far and wide across the United States, yet, in the public high school community here in Elk Grove and surrounding areas, it remains noticeably underrepresented. Despite the program’s potential to develop diplomacy, public speaking, and global awareness, many students in our region have limited exposure to it. Politically-based extracurriculars themselves tend to have difficult thresholds to fulfill, and by creating this opportunity, we hope to lower the barriers of entry, empower new voices, and foster civic engagement among students who may not have had access otherwise.
Our organization aims to challenge that by bringing these opportunities to you.
Affordability is a primary factor in our mission: we believe that no student should be excluded from experiences due to financial barriers.
Through no-cost conferences, accessible resources, and school-to-school collaboration, we’re committed to ensuring that Model UN is an option for every student — not just a privileged few.
